Save the Water(tm) is seeking an Associate Director, Grants,- Foundations, Government of Fundraising to gain knowledge and contribute to a great cause. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Director of Fundraising and assist with oversight and operation of the Fundraising department with approximately 5-20 volunteers and interns.
You will provide leadership and operational management to direct our Grants - Foundations/Government within our Fundraising group. You support the Fundraising team, through strong sales and effective grant application strategy.
Associate Directors are expected to contribute a minimum of 12 hours per week and be responsive to emails within three (3) calendar days.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Fundraising with management and strategy of the Fundraising Group.
Provide oversight to the department of approx 5-15 volunteers and interns.
Assist the Director in planning and conducting monthly group meetings,
Create and implement a development plan that details how the organization solicits donors and identifies funding sources such as grants, in-kind donations, charitable events and marketing opportunities.
Develop and execute Save The Water’s(tm) annual fundraising plan
Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations by means of Grants awarded.
Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors
Create and execute a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors
Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising
Attend Quarterly Operations Meetings.
Manage Project Leaders and Volunteers
Manage and keep operational documents current.
Assist in developing procedures & documents for the organization.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
Demonstrated excellence in organizational leadership, and communication skills
Associate's degree (or currently enrolled in degree program) or comparable work experience Grant Writing & Fundraising.
