Mission Statement

Our mission is to change the social and economic landscape of minorities through education and entrepreneurship.

Description

WHO WE ARE

Collaborative Response (CR) is an education-based organization dedicated to enhancing the social and economic landscape for minorities through education and entrepreneurship. Our organization was founded in 2011 and has grown across three phases to become a resource to students and their families around the Kansas City Metro Area. We started our journey partnering with schools and community centers to help strengthen students in their academics. Tutoring, mentoring, and educational activities were our main focus. However, there has been a gap for school choice options for minorities that will prepare them for post-graduation. Therefore in 2023, we are expanding our educational opportunities to expand outside of the traditional classroom setting.

WHAT WE DO

Collaborative Response (CR) partners with educational institutions and other business professionals in the community who mentor and tutor students in the organization. Students are entered into the program through assessments to identify the skill levels on the core subjects. The grades we tutor are:

  • 3 rd Grade- Reading, Writing, Math, and Social Skills.
  • 4 th Grade- Reading, Writing, Math, Science, and Social Skills.
  • 5 th Grade- Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Social Skills.
