Provide senior citizens with meaningful volunteer opportunities.
Provide senior citizens 60 years and older with the opportunity to work with struggling children. Foster Grandparents work with children in Elementary Schools, Head Start Centers, Boys and Girls Clubs and other community organizations helping improve literacy skills. For their service the Foster Grandparent receives a tax free stipend. This stipend does not affect any other services the senior might already be using... such as low income housing, food stamps, Social Security..etc
