We are looking for individuals 55 years of age or older, who are interested in helping elementary age children improve their reading skills through one-on-one and small group tutoring in your local elementary school. You must be willing to serve at least 15 hours per week and have transportation. If your household income is under $2,430 a month for a single household or $3,287 for a couple you can receive a monthly stipend for your service, mileage reimbursement and a free meal during your service hours. Receiving Social Security Disability benefits? You may be income eligible to earn a tax exempted stipend for your hours of volunteering.
