We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us pick up donations in our Cargo Vans from partner grocery stores with Lakeview Pantry. Shifts occur between the hours of 9AM and 1PM Monday - Friday at 3945 N. Sheridan or 5151 N. Ravenswood. Must have a valid driver's license and complete a driver application. Experience with Cargo Vans is preferred but can work with drivers of large sized vehicles. Training is provided by an experienced driver. Additional needs are listed below:
Cargo Van Driving experience preferred
Must be able to lift 25 - 50lbs+
Have regular weekday availability (9am - 1pm)
Valid Driver's license
To get started: Register and attend an orientation. Once you've registered, you'll receive our orientation and steps to become an active volunteer. Once you become an active volunteer, please email volunteers@lakeviewpantry.org to sign up for the Cargo Van Opportunity.

Nourishing Hope (formerly Lakeview Pantry) is a dynamic social services organization providing food, mental wellness counseling, and other social services, such as job and housing assistance, to our Chicago neighbors in need. While our doors are open to all, the vast majority of those we serve within our neighborhood may be disabled, working for minimum wage, recently unemployed, or the elderly. Whatever the reason, we are here to help. Founded in 1970, we strive to serve the needs of the whole person-with respect and dignity, always.
