ORGANIZATION: Hope Recovery, Inc.

We are in need of at least 4 faith-based individuals who are knowledgeable about trauma issues, and would be interested in training with us to become co-facilitators in newly forming online support groups for hurricane survivors and hurricane friends and family. General commitment of time for support groups are approximately 1.5 hours weekly. These will be ongoing support groups for as long as needed. We ask for a 6 month commitment at which point we give you an opportunity to choose to continue or not at that time. This opportunity is limited to hurricane survivor support groups. Non-Hurricane related support groups we offer require a broader training.

While our support groups and workshops are Christian based, they are not theological or denominational. We do not discuss doctrines or other issues. Any spiritual discussions are limited to how faith is impacting recovery from this trauma.

Volunteers will go through a training on hurricane trauma and co-facilitating and then will sit in on a group before officially becoming a co-facilitator. To become a co-facilitator officially, volunteers will take the lead in facilitating a group with the trainer.
