ORGANIZATION: Musicians On Call

Volunteer Musicians perform acoustically at the bedsides of patients and are always accompanied by a trained MOC Volunteer Guide. Volunteer Musicians play one song per room and interact with patients, their families and hospital staff. All lyrics MUST be appropriate for a hospital setting, therefore MOC provides an approved song list for musicians to select their repertoire for hospital visits. Any other material outside of the approved song list may be submitted to MOC staff for approval. Volunteer Musicians must complete MOC’s orientation process, which includes an application, interview, handbook, orientation, quiz, background check and confidentiality agreement. Musician applicants must also submit a sample of their music prior to acceptance into the program.

MOC's requires all volunteers to commit to volunteering once a month for at least one year.

Musicians On Call (MOC) brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare environments. We are looking for VOLUNTEER GUIDES and VOLUNTEER MUSICIANS to help us deliver the healing power of music. As a volunteer with Musicians On Call, you can brighten the days of hospitalized patients - a truly rewarding experience. MOC currently has volunteer opportunities for both Volunteer Guides and Volunteer Musicians at our weekly Bedside Performance Programs.
