Volunteer to help seniors in our community get the food and nutrition they need. The Volunteers of America Grocery Shopping Program helps seniors and others with transportation and physical issues get access to groceries. Once a week, our team of volunteers takes grocery orders by phone, and then we shop and deliver to participants' homes and apartments.
The biggest need is for volunteers to pick up the orders from the grocery store and deliver it to some of the clients (usually 3 people per route).
This is a great way to develop relationships with local seniors, and help people get their basic needs each week!

Description
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
