Summer Camp and Afterschool

Have a passion for seeing youth succeed? Become a mentor with Homeport today! We are offering an opportunity for adults ages 17 and up to mentor 5-8th graders in Homeport's Emerald Glen community. Mentors provide support in the areas of character development, goal setting and career exploration. Students spend memorable time with their mentors while enjoying group learning activities with friends. The program also includes occasional field trips!

Your Commitment

This is an 8 month program beginning October 2016. Mentors will be accepted after that date as well. Mentorship takes place two Fridays each month, from 4:30pm to 6pm at Emerald Glen's Community Center. Mentors will work both one-on-one and in group settings with the mentees.. Mentors must attend an orientation, be accepting of a variety of cultures, and willing to be fingerprinted (paid for by Homeport).
