Community Food Share is Boulder and Broomfield Counties’ food bank. Our mission is to be a leader in our community’s effort to end hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties.

We collect donated food from many sources, and store the donated food in our warehouse where it is sorted, packaged, and checked for spoilage. Over 40 local human service agencies rely on us for free food to pass on to their clients. We also operate programs like the Feeding Families program which provides free food to families with school-children living in poverty.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Community Food Share. Over 6,600 people volunteer at our distribution center in an average year, covering 44% of our of workforce needs (the equivalent of 21 full-time employees!) We literally cannot do it without YOU!

We need help in our warehouse: Sorting food, restocking food for our Feeding Families program, pulling orders for our agency partners, assisting our drivers when they pick up donations, greeting during food drives, assisting at mobile pantries and with our Elder Share program are just a handful of opportunities that we have. Parents can volunteer with their kiddos as young as 5 years old!

Please let us know if you are interested in helping out! You can apply through here or on our website: https://communityfoodshare.org/volunteer

*Please note: Community Food Share is not open on the weekends.
