Trained Patient/Family Volunteers: provide companionship, relieve caregivers so that they can get some time away, run errands, meal preparation and other important support in the patient’s home, assisted living facility or nursing home
Trained Patient/Family Volunteers can also be:
- Vigil Volunteers: sit with patients and/or families during the final hours of life.
- Voices of the Heart Volunteers: help patients’ document memories and stories as a legacy for their loved ones through various media.
- Valor Volunteer: participates in ceremonies honoring veteran patients or provides comradery and companionship with weekly visits
- Administrative Volunteers: perform important duties such as data entry, filing, copying and mailings
- Others: Pet care, Photography, birthday celebrations, beauticians
