The Arlington Free Clinic needs Spanish Interpreters to facilitate the communication between providers and patients. Interpreters play an important role in our organization as they are assigned to different providers and patients during clinic sessions.

Our clinic sessions are vary throughout the week, but are generally Monday-Thursday 1pm-3:30pm, and Tuesday-Thursday 5:30pm-8:30pm. We are also seeking interpreters to assist with mental health appointments. Interpreting opportunities are available for both in-person/onsite and telehealth/remote.

We need both male and female interpreters.

Most volunteers work once or twice per month for three hours per shift and we require a eight-month or more commitment. Volunteers are asked to submit an application and come in for an interview and orientation.

Arlington Free Clinic is a non-profit organization that provides health care services to resident adults in Arlington County.

About Arlington Free Clinic

Location:

2921 11th Street South, Arlington, VA 22204, US

Mission Statement

Arlington Free Clinic advances health equity by providing comprehensive, whole-person healthcare to our neighbors who would otherwise lack access.

Description

At Arlington Free Clinic (AFC), we care for the whole person. Volunteer providers treat patients for every condition from chronic diabetes to cancer, while mental health counselors help them cope with the stresses of serious illness and poverty. New wellness programs and increased focus on preventive care help our patients live healthier lives. And, for the first time since the Clinic opened, visits to the dentist allow our patients to go out into the world with a confident smile.

Since 1994, Arlington Free Clinic has been committed to providing exemplary health care for Arlingtonians in need, serving about 1,600 patients each year. Access to health care makes such a critical difference in the lives of individuals and families - giving them peace of mind and economic security - and we continue to work every day toward a healthier Arlington.
