FIRST(r) Tech Challenge is designed for students in grades 7-12 to compete head to head, using a sports model. Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. The robot kit is reusable from year-to-year and is programed using a variety of languages. Teams, including coaches, mentors and volunteers, are required to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles. Awards are given for the competition as well as for community outreach, design, and other real-world accomplishments.
FIRST Tech Challenge Competition Volunteers:

How to volunteer for a Colorado FIRST Tech Challenge:
■ Register as a volunteer with FIRST - http://firstinspires.org
■ Choose "Sign Up" if you a new volunteer or "Login" if you are a returning volunteer
■ Choose "Volunteer Registration" and then "Volunteer at an Event" and then choose FTC.
■ Find the event you want to volunteer for and then choose the role(s) you are interested in and your availability. We especially need judges - this doesn’t require special skills and there is online training in advance of event.
