As a Meals on Wheels volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
Help keep the meals rolling out in Federal Way...We are in need of a Volunteer Monday mornings, 9:30 am - 11 am. A typical day includes checking for voice messages, entering orders into a user friendly computer program, and general prep for the week to keep Meals on Wheels humming along on schedule. This is an on-going volunteer commitment, working independently. Training for this position is provided.
Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, flexibility, attention to detail, people skills, good cheer, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound elders.
Requirements: Able to work independently, complete an application, consent to a background check, be able to lift 15lbs, be at least 18 years of age, and have a Washington state driver’s license. This is an on-going volunteer position.

Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.
Description
Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
