Are you bilingual in Spanish/ English? The AmeriCares Free Clinic of Stamford needs volunteers that are fluent to assist doctors and nurses in communicating with patients. You will be an integral part of our medical team. Volunteers usually work a 4 hour clinic shift once or twice per month.

Americares operates four free clinics in Fairfield County in Norwalk, Bridgeport, Danbury and Stamford. Our mission is to provide free quality health care to low-income, uninsured residents in a setting where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect. By partnering with local hospitals and Quest Diagnostics for donated laboratory and diagnostic testing, and by relying upon a hybrid paid/volunteer staff, we are able to provide free primary care to the working poor. Since 1994, we have provided more than $129 million in medical care to 28,000 patients.
