Emergencies or disasters can devastate individuals, families, and communities. Advance planning and preparation can increase survival and minimize suffering. Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest (LSS-SW) is looking for volunteers to serve as presenters offering dynamic disaster training programs to help congregations, groups, and community organizations establish effective strategies for preparing and responding to disasters. You will be trained with our nationally recognized curriculum which integrates written, audiovisual, verbal and hands-on activities to convey information in the varied ways people acquire and use knowledge. Volunteers can work with the Operations Manager and training sites to set their own schedule. LSS-SW is a flexible and fun organization to volunteer with. If you are interested please contact Robert Sanders, Partners In Caring Operations Manager phone: (480) 654-4539 or email: rsanders@lss-sw.org. We hope to meet you soon.
