Volunteer needed for morning barn duties-great need

We are looking for a volunteer(s) to assist Mon to Fri from 7:30 am to 9:30 am (approximately). Duties include feeding, turnout, and stall cleaning as needed.

We are open to any day(s) you can commit to if not all 5.

No experience necessary, you will be trained but some horse handling experience would be beneficial.

Training sessions are 3 per month, usually Tuesday evening, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Training session lasts about 1 1/2 hours. Please visit our facebook page to sign up for one.

We are 100% volunteer run.

Mission Statement

Prairie Fire Farms Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing retirement to Off the Track Thoroughbreds (OTTB), and Rescuing, Rehabilitating, Re-Homing and Re-Careering any equine breeds in need. Additionally, the foundation is committed to bring equine educational and therapeutic opportunities to low-income families, under privileged and/or at-risk youth, and United States Military Veterans and their families to create an atmosphere for long term skills and lifelong success


We retrain and rehome rescued horses. Some become part of our riding lesson program.

We provide equine opportunitites to low income and at risk youth through donations, grants and a scholarship fund.
