Who We Are
LifeSmart Education is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that enhances the availability of nontraditional educational classes and resources for underserved youth and communities. We help those who need unwavering, positive life management skills. Youth aren't born knowing the life skills that we wish they did; they must be taught and molded into productive members of society. At LifeSmart Education, we teach youth how to be socially and emotionally successful, and enable them to achieve their highest potential as law-abiding global citizens.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to learn and gain valuable experience working with a small nonprofit organization. Earn an endorsement on LinkedIn and/or a referral after 3 months. There are a wide variety of skill sets that are needed and we are willing to train the right candidates.
Role Description
We are looking for a passionate reporter to participate in the creative cycle of a news story by investigating and writing rich and interesting stories for our organizations for our Monthly newsletter. We are willing to help train the right person.
Responsibilities
- Editing and proofreading content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to the newsletter's style and tone.
- Conducting research on relevant topics or themes for newsletter content
- Using design software to create visually appealing layouts and graphics
- Abide by LifeSmart Education Policies & Procedures
- Managing the distribution process, including email campaigns or other distribution methods
- Collaborate with social media manager
- Implementing marketing strategies to attract new subscribers and promote the newsletter.
Coordinating social media manager to gather content and ensure deadlines are met.
Skills and Requirements
- Ability to gather, write and edit news
- Knowledge of the LifeSmart Education organization
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, digital editing, web search, databases, canva)
- Excellent communication skills
- Integrity and morality
- Passionate about writing

Description
Diversity has been an area of concern in international education for many years, Global Diversity Abroad, our sister company, mission is to present the opportunity for historically over-looked high school students with the possibility to learn on an international platform. This program is specially designed to meet the needs of minority and at-risk youth, guiding them through a course of study that will expose them to drastic life changing experiences abroad.
Our goal is to formulate a preventative social mindset where students are exposed to new ideas, build positive relationships, develop confidence and experience new challenges. This is our model to empower young people to be globally-minded individuals by transforming their lives.
