Jewelry Processing: Jewelry sorting is open to individuals 16 years of age and older. Volunteers will process jewelry that is placed for sale within our GCF Donation Center & Stores. Please wear close toe shoes.

Volunteer Hours:
Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
48 hour reservations are required.
Please note: GCF does not participate with court mandated, lawyer recommend community services, sign external forms or provide references.
Please email volunteer@goodwillenc.org or call (919) 281-9192 to schedule a volunteer session. Individuals, groups, schools and companies are welcome. Thank you for taking the time to volunteer.

Description
The Goodwill Community Foundation (GCF ) supports programs and services for people throughout eastern North Carolina by providing grants to Goodwill Industries of Eastern North Carolina (GIENC) and tax-exempt organizations in eastern North Carolina and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) throughout the world. In addition, GCF provides facilities and Internet sites for employment, education, and life enrichment.
The programs supported by GCF continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of the people it serves. These programs include:
GCF Family Support Services(tm), GCF Volunteer & Farm Services, GCFLearnFree.org
GCFAprendeLibre.org, GCFAprendeLivre.org, GCF Accounting Services(tm)
GCF funds the construction of facilities and programs to assist people with job opportunities, training, and life-skills preparation for adults and children with barriers to a quality life. It provide resources to GIENC and other organizations that enable them to provide programs, facilities, training, and life-skills opportunities for people who desire a better life.
Due to the low cost of store merchandise and the superior wages received by store staff, its retail program is consistently one of the top three efficient programs among the 172 Goodwill organizations in the United States. More importantly, no Goodwill Industries serves more people each year than GIENC.
