Book Preps make children feel special by beautifying and prepping books that Spread the Word Nevada distributes every month to underserved schools. Thousands of children don't have books of their own and we need volunteers to ensure books get into their hands.

Perfect for groups and individuals, book preps are offered at various days and times each week. All supplies and instructions will be given onsite.

We currently offer Book Preps at the following times:

Tuesdays: 9:00 - 11:00 am, 3:00 - 5:00 pm, 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Wednesdays: 9:00 - 11:00 am and 2:00 - 4:00 pm

Thursdays: 1:00 - 3:00 pm and 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Fridays: 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Saturdays: 9:00 - 11:00 am

To Start Volunteering: Head to https://spreadthewordnevada.org/volunteer-options/ to fill out a volunteer application.

Individuals: Follow link for Henderson-Las Vegas under "New Volunteers" and complete a simple application. Once your volunteer application is processed, you will be able to create an account where you can access our calendar of events and signup for available shifts that work for you. Reservations are made based on availability and must be scheduled in advance.

Groups: Follow the link to Submit Your Group request, and a staff member will reach out to you to coordinate your volunteer event.
