Peer Navigators (PN's) will welcome veteran clients to the new One Stop Shop Veteran Services Center (VSC) and guide them through the intake processs by facilitating communication with the VSC staff, other service providers, employers, landlords, and other professionals, and will assist clients in coordinating and scheduling appointments with those representatives. Other duties include helping clients maintain a checklist of service providers contacted and services received, and helping clients develop internet skills for finding employment, housing, and benefits. Basic computer and internet skills, organizational and communication skills required. 2-4 hour shifts, M-F, 9-4 am to pm available. Familiarity with veterans benefits, homeless programs, and Spanish language a plus. All volunteers will be trained by VSC staff on site at the VSC.
