We are looking for a Treasurer/Finance Director, prferably a CPAand/or a financial professional with non profit experience.

Children Across America, a humanitarian organization, provides preventive healthcare and edcational assistance to all children but focused on under-served children in the United States. Its our vision is to empower families and children. Our unique programs are focused on improving children’s health and drive educational excellence.

Position Summary:

The Treasurer/Financial Director is responsible to help to keep us fiscally on track. This person would report to the Executive Director and Operations Director, the individual will assist in developing strategies, plan and implement a proactive and effective financial plan. The Financial Director would be one of children Across America's BOARD MEMBER.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Produce monthly financial report for Board.
  • · File annual financial reports for government agencies.

Develop policies and procedures and Oversee documentation and planning

Required Skills:

CPA or financial professional with at least 10 years experience, preferably in the nonprofit field.

  • · Strong organizational skills. Works effectively under pressure.
  • · Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with the team.

Children Across America is a 501 (c)(3) (EIN 27-0355388), humanitarian organization. Children Across America provides literacy support and preventative healthcare to underserved children in the United States. Its vision is to empower families and children in low income communities. Its unique programs are focused on improving children’s educational excellence and health. The organization partners with local libraries, school systems healthcare advocates and hospitals to ensure children get the full benefit of its programs. We provide a free alternative program to underserved families with students in grades K-5, who can't afford a private tutor, or professional tutoring services such as Kaplan or Kumon.

Description

CAA has a combination of medical and educational programming.

Our main educational program is a STEM and Coding program for all children. We also focus on children K-5 grade that come from families that English is not their first language. Our Summer Reading and Math Club (Children's Book Club) and our Saturday Reading and Math club's goal is to raise the level of literacy in America's children. Our Math Clubs are to help develop children's basic math skills. We help all children but our main focus is the underserved population of America. Our signature program is our Summer STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club, that runs from July through August and our Saturday STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club that runs each Saturday.

Our main medical program and focus of our medical programming is Health Promotion in motion. This is a immunization and preventative healthcare initiative focused on making sure every child in America is immunized per CDC guidelines and has healthcare coverage. We are a vendor for the State for Mass healthcare signps.
