In partnership with the Napa Sunrise Rotary, volunteers are needed to teach Junior Achievement's programs to 7th grade students at Harvest Middle School in Napa. In partnership with the math teachers, students will learn financial literacy concepts with the goal of preparing them for future economic success and related math to the world around us. Harvest Middle School is a Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) qualified school.

Volunteers will

  • Receive training and ready to use materials provided by JA
  • Teach JA Economics for Success to a class of 30 students
  • Time commitment - six 45-60 minute sessions, (one to two sessions a week, over four weeks)
  • May partner with a co-worker
  • Receive support from the classroom teacher

Students will

  • Explore higher education and career choices
  • Use entrepreneurial thinking
  • Participate in fun challenging activities
  • Learn basic job-hunting tools
