Notre Dame Learning Center is a non-profit organization, sponsored by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. We serve two distinct clientele:
First, one-on-one tutoring for Children Grades 1 - 9 in Mathematics and English Language Arts. After school program October - May, and summer school program during July.
Second,HSE/TASC Classes for Adults working towards high school equivalency diploma. Classes run Monday - Thursday. 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon. One subject per day. Four subjects covered are as follows: Science; Social Studies; English Language Arts; Mathematics.
Currently we are in need of tutors for the Children's Program; 4 teachers are needed for the adult HSE program. Make a difference in the lives of Children and Young Adults as they work towards improving their education and skill-sets. Empowerment through Education is the Mission we strive to deliver.

Mission Statement
Our Mission is to enable children, youth, and adults to reach the fullness of their potential through education in English Language Arts, Reading, Math, Technology, and TASC. In fulfillment of this Mission and in the spirit of Mother Theresa Gerhardinger, SSND, and Mother Caroline Friess, SSND: The Notre Dame Learning Center strives to welcome children, youth, and adults, encouraging them to take advantage of the educational opportunities offered; to create an environment that facilitates the development of the whole person; and to teach the skills necessary for further educational endeavors or employment. Established as a sponsored ministry of The School Sisters of Notre Dame, Rochester, New York in 2004.
Description
Notre Dame Learning Center offers after school and summer tutoring in English Language Arts, and Mathematics, for children in grades one through nine. Tutoring is provided on a one-to-one basis. Children are able to benefit from the relationship or mentorship in this fashion.
Volunteer tutors are available one day per week for at least one hour during that day.
