We are the largest non-profit animal shelter in Des Moines providing services for over 20,000 animals each year. We have an exciting volunteer opportunity to help raise money for the homeless animals! The Leprechaun Chase 10K has made the ARL the beneficiary charity for past years raising over $3,000 and helping hundreds of animals! This event is not possible without the help of volunteers.
Available volunteer duties include: packet pick-up, course monitor, race timing, and much more. Students do not need to be current or active ARL volunteers. Below are details of the upcoming volunteer opportunity. If you are interested, please register using the link below.
Volunteers receive a FREE Leprechaun Chase Souvenir and a green beer at the after party (21+ only for the beer)!
Leprechaun Chase 10K
Date: Saturday, March 10th
Time: 8AM-2PM (Times vary for each volunteer duty)

Description
Since 1926, the Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) has helped more than 1 million pets in need. The ARL is a dynamic, progressive-minded animal shelter dedicated to animals and people. In addition to our daily operations of caring for the 15,000+ animals that come into our shelter every year, we also offer many different programs to our community including pet adoption, pet behavior counseling, puppy/dog training classes, spay/neuter and animal cruelty intervention. Plus extensive volunteer programming which includes our own therapy animal program, TheraPets.
