Would you like an opportunity to help others and give back to your community? Have you ever thought about volunteering for Hospice? Did you know that Volunteers are the Heart and Soul of Hospice Care? As a Hospice Volunteer, you are an important, integral member of the team! Hospice provides care and comfort to people with terminal illnesses and provides support to their families, friends, and caregivers. As a Volunteer, you can help in many ways!
If you are at least 18 years old, you can be a Direct Patient Volunteer. Volunteers visit patients and families, providing care and support through companionship and conversation, reading, writing letters, listening to music, watching movies & TV, playing games, offering care to the pets of the patients and families, helping with light household tasks or yard work, and even sharing hobbies!
We provide a comprehensive 10 hour orientation and training, so if you don't have any experience with Hospice, don't worry - we'll give you everything you'll need to be the best Volunteer you can be! Any time commitment big or small is appreciated! We do require a background check, (2) TB tests, and drug screen. Please contact Dee Malmstrom, Volunteer Coordinator at Grace Hospice: dmalmstrom@ghospice.com or visit our website https://ghospice.com/about-volunteering/. COME JOIN OUR AMAZING TEAM!
We'll work with your schedule.
