OASIS (Outreach Assisting Students in Schools) provides clothing and fundamental necessities to students in Hillsborough County schools. Our volunteers meet to sort clothing & shoe donations, organize & restock shelves, and get orders ready for school social workers every Thursday from 9:30AM - 12:00PM in South Tampa. Volunteers are welcome for 1 hour or whatever fits their schedule. Sorting and organizing the donated clothing & shoes for our shelves and racks makes items easily accessible for students in need in the Hillsborough County schools. After you are trained, you will also have the opportunity to work on other days between 8am-5pm.

OASIS volunteers have fun, meet new people, and are valued members of our community. Our organization is run primarily by volunteers, so our volunteers are KEY to its' success. Service hours are available for all middle, high school, & college students who participate. Contact us today for more details!

Mission Statement

To provide basic necessities to needy students in Hillsborough County public schools.

  • OASIS provides basic necessities to needy students through 190 school social workers
  • Items provided include: gently used clothing, new uniforms, socks & underwear, shoes, hygiene items, alarm clocks, and school supplies
  • 4 full-size warehouse facilities serving homeless students

The acronym OASIS stands for Outreach Assisting Students In Schools. This non-profit organization was specifically developed as a unique and effective way of directly distributing donations of children's personal items to our county's most needy public school children. Direct communication and cooperation with school based social workers and other school representatives make this effort possible.

The OASIS Network brings these entities together to form a unique partnership, one that truly benefits children that would otherwise receive little support from outside sources.
