The Dedham Food Pantry seeks volunteers age 55+ for the following positions:
Stocking Crew: THURSDAYS 3-4:30pm at the food pantry, unload, stock shelves, and break down boxes to make the pantry ready for Saturday clients.
Shopping Assistants: 2nd and 4th Wednesdays regularly 1:30-3:00pm at the food pantry, help senior citizen shoppers through the aisles or carrying bags to their car. Saturdays on call or once a month, 8-11am, help shoppers through the aisles or carrying bags to their car. Stocking shelves as needed.
Unloading food truck deliveries: every second Tuesday from 7:30-8am. The food pantry is
Drivers: needed to pick up donated food from local stores early Saturday mornings.
PLEASE NOTE: This volunteer opportunity is available only to adults age 55 and older

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
