Preparing for the 2016-17 school year, Jamaica Plain Adult Learning Program is recruiting social studies tutors to work with adult students that are preparing to get their High School Equivalency Test (formerly GED). Tutors may work with students one-on-one on a weekly basis or assist a particular student during class. Monring, afternoon, and evening tutoring positions are available. Tutors receive training and ongoing support from the Volunteer Coordinator as well as the teachers. Requirements: 2 years of college prefered or related experience; must pass CORI/SORI (background check); available 2-3 hours per week.
