About

Rediscover the joys of reading by volunteering as a Tutor-Mentor with PPL’s afterschool youth programs! We help students from low-income communities succeed in school through engaging activities in a positive environment that’s full of laughter and smiles.

PPL Scholars in St. Paul (Payne-Phalen) is a tutoring and mentoring program for students in grades K-5 th living in PPL’s supportive housing. Volunteer Tutor-Mentors are each matched with two youth to support social and academic growth through literacy tutoring (50 minutes each night), relationship-building, and enrichment activities.

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4:30-6:30pm

Now-May commitment. Required training before starting at program.
