Norfolk County RSVP's Veterans volunteer programs places adults age 55+ in volunteer opportunities to help Veterans in many capacities: receive free rides to medical appointments and receive job seeking support, supporting Incarcerated Veterans and Veterans in hospice.

5 to 10 hours a month with a minimum 1 year commitment is required.

Norfolk County RSVP is a network of Norfolk County residents age 55+ who give their time to serve in important volunteer roles in their community including food distribution, veterans services, and elementary school education. Sponsored by the Norfolk County Commissioners, members are eligible for free mileage reimbursement, accident insurance, monthly newsletters, and invitations to volunteer events.

Make a difference in Norfolk County by connecting your passions with community needs!

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
