Friends of Dinosaur Ridge

Dinosaur Ridge

Dinosaur Ridge is a popular destination for visitors from around the world! Help greet, orient and educate dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages at our Main Visitor Center and exhibit hall. Docents serve in our exhibit hall while ambassadors help welcome and orient visitors outdoors and answering general questions about Dinosaur Ridge.

4-hour shifts are available every day of the week and weekends. Volunteer one or more shifts a week on a regular schedule or as you are available. Shadow an experienced volunteer to learn about the role, outdoor fossil sites and exhibits.

Please note: Dinosaur Ridge currently has strict COVID-19 safety measures in place for both visitor and volunteer safety. All visitors and guests are encouraged to wear face coverings in indoor spaces and to practice social distancing.

Volunteers must complete a background check, review and sign our Volunteer Handbook and COVID-19 Safety Acknowledgement to serve in these roles.
