Each year, hundreds of kittens from the DeKalb County community and surrounding area are found stray, abandoned or homeless. Kitten season is the time of year when cats give birth, flooding animal shelters and rescue groups across the nation with homeless litters. In 2016, Tails Humane Society took in and cared for over 500 stray kittens from April-October.
We are currently recruiting Volunteers to help us care the kittens re-entering the shelter from foster homes with their moms.
