The Cyrus Dallin Art Museum is seeking a volunteer Associate Trustee responsible for planning an annual calendar of events, finding event leaders, and assisting with event budgeting and details. The Event Planner will work in collaboration with the Event Planning Committee of the museum’s municipal Board of Trustees. We also welcome involvement in other areas of museum operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and propose event ideas to the Board of Trustees
  • Estimate event cost and anticipated income
  • Maintain the running 18-month Calendar of Events
  • Work with the Events Planning Committee to assign event leaders and assist in event preparations
Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, with special attention to time management
  • Previous event planning experience preferred
  • Interest in art and museums a plus

About the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum
The Cyrus Dallin Art Museum is dedicated to the celebrated Utah-born sculptor, educator, and Indigenous rights advocate, Cyrus Dallin, who lived and worked in Arlington, Massachusetts for over forty years. Best known for his Appeal to the Great Spirit in front of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Paul Revere Monument in Boston's North End, Dallin's many public sculptures bring beauty and a unique perspective to shared spaces across the nation. By exploring Dallin’s art, life, and values through thoughtful exhibits and programs, the Dallin Museum seeks to promote a more inclusive understanding of history and mutual respect and empathy in our community.
