Whether guiding new patients to their rooms, helping families cope with illnees or preparing for baby's frist car ride home, Scripps volunteers touch lives in may ways. Volunteers greet patients and visitors, assist patients at the bedside, support patient’s family members in the waiting rooms, and assist staff members in clinical areas.
Volunteers are assigned to shifts in the Intensive Care Units, Emergency Department, Nursing Units, Volunteer Office, Gift Shop, Canine Therapy, Waiting Rooms, Information desk and much more. Do you know how to knit or crochet? We are looking for volunteers who can make caps for our newborns.
Our volunteers give thousands of hours of service each year in many different ways. Our volunteers’ efforts are appreciated by staff, physicians, patients and their families and enhance the overall level of care we provide.
Volunteers must be active men and women age 15 and older who are willing to make a commitment to volunteering at least one four hour shift a week.
