Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Volunteers are always needed at Scripps Health. Now is an exciting time to volunteer at Scripps because our campus is growing. We are recruiting for volunteers to for many of our sites. The most rewarding reason to volunteer cannot be measured. As a volunteer, you gain valuable experience, learn new skills, make friends and meet others who share the same values and interests. Our volunteers’ efforts are appreciated by staff, physicians, patients and their families and enhance the overall level of care we provide.
Scripps Health volunteers touch the lives in many ways. Volunteers greet patients and visitors, assist patients at their bedside, support patient’s family members in the waiting rooms, and assist staff members in clinical areas. Our volunteers give thousands of hours of service each year in many different ways.
Volunteers must be active men and women age 15 and older who are willing to make a commitment to volunteering at least one shift a week. Scripps Health volunteers include students, homemakers, part-time workers, retired persons and seniors. Volunteers may have unique opportunities to work in the emergency department, intensive care unit, or surgery.Volunteer training
After an initial interview and health screening, volunteers are assigned to an area of their choice and attend a site orientation. We offer training programs and continuing education to help volunteers remain efficient and effective.
