Heartland Hospice serves patients who are in a difficult stage of life, and we strive to assist the entire family with the clinical, emotional, spriritual and practical support that they need. The burden of caregiving often taxes the caregiver and volunteers can offer much needed support by offering assistance with housecleaning, yard work, running errands, and meal preparation. Volunteers make their own schedule, and typically we ask volunteers to commit to a 4-hour shift once or twice a month for the duration of the patient's stay on hospice service.
Comprehensive training and support is offered to all volunteers. Our office is in the Nora area, but we serve families all over Central Indiana. Volunteer must be 18 years of age or older, and be able to provide their own transportation.
