Prescription Assistance Volunteer
LAKELAND VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE INC
Prescription Assistance Volunteers facilitate a program that helps our patients obtain medication for long term, chronic illnesses such as diabetes or high blood pressure. Volunteers process the requests from receiving the prescription from the physician, completing paperwork with the patient, contacting the pharmaceutical company via computer, mail or phone, receiving the medications and ensuring patients receive the medications.
About LAKELAND VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE INC
600 W PEACHTREE ST, LAKELAND, FL 33815, US
The mission of LVIM is to provide free, high quality outpatient medical and dental health care to the working uninsured of Polk County in a compassionate manner.
LVIM is the "medical home" for our patients. It is a place where their medical needs are met and they are truly cared for as unique people, with individual needs, desires, hope and fears. LVIM builds and maintains a culture of caring by instilling in our staff and volunteers a philosophy that how we treat people at LVIM is as important as the medical care they receive.
