Lunchbox Learners

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Great Lakes Bay Region seeks volunteers for their Lunchbox Learners program! Lunchbox Learners starts the last week in October and ends the first week in May each year. A commitment of one school year is required. Volunteers are carefully matched with a preferred child based on volunteer preference and student needs. Each volunteer meets with the same child each week to assist the child with early reading. The Lunchbox Learners program serves children in K-3rd grades. Matches meet one day a week during the child’s lunch hour, which is about 50 minutes. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers Lunchbox Learners program at multiple Midland area schools on Monday-Thursdays so volunteers have a variety of days and locations to choose from.

*All volunteers undergo a background screening which includes a criminal background check and an interview with a Big Brothers Big Sisters Site Supervisor.*
