Prairie Fire Farms Foundation, Inc.
We are looking for volunteers for evenings and weekends for barn work including stall cleaning, watering horses, filling hay nets, and various other duties. No horse experience is necessary. We will teach you how to work safely around the horses. Kids under 18 are welcome to volunteer but must be accompanied by an adult. We also need volunteers for events as they are scheduled.
**Looking for volunteer for week days to clean stalls.** This opportunity requires, lifting, bending, repeative motion and pushing. Some equipment operation such as running a bobcat might be taught after some time.
Please reply with timeframe, evenings, weekends, or day time, that you are interested in volunteering for.
Training sessions are 3 per month, usually Tuesday evening, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Training session lasts about 1 1/2 hours. Please visit our facebook page to sign up for one.

Prairie Fire Farms Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing retirement to Off the Track Thoroughbreds (OTTB), and Rescuing, Rehabilitating, Re-Homing and Re-Careering any equine breeds in need. Additionally, the foundation is committed to bring equine educational and therapeutic opportunities to low-income families, under privileged and/or at-risk youth, and United States Military Veterans and their families to create an atmosphere for long term skills and lifelong success
We retrain and rehome rescued horses. Some become part of our riding lesson program.
We provide equine opportunitites to low income and at risk youth through donations, grants and a scholarship fund.
