Grant Writer Job Duties

Prepare grant proposals, beginning by performing research. Develop proposals, familiarize with organization's programs, goals and financial needs. Also look into potential funding sources. After compiling all needed information, compose and send proposals.

Also keep careful records to track proposals. If a grant-making organization requests additional information, writer supply the missing items. May be asked for additional duties, which may include managing volunteers, working with an executive board, planning fund-raising campaigns and promoting the organization through public relations work.

Educational Requirements

May have a bachelor's degree in communications, English, professional writing or a similar major. Outstanding grammar and research skills are essential for grant writers.

Return functional capacity and independence to consumers and to reduce health disparities for vulnerable populations. BHNC will implement our goals and strategies by eliminating barriers to care through effective case management and compassionate peer support services.

  • to collaborate somatic care
  • to promote the healthcare marketplace exchange

Strategies:

  • partner with local and national advocacy agencies
  • coordinate somatic care and conduct monthly educational seminars with healthcare vendors
  • maintain 51% peer support services and partner with regulatory agencies to address compliance violations
  • establish aggressive community outreach programs and onsite and offsite programs
  • connect consumers to "Medical Homes" and support services
  • advocate integrated electronic medical record systems
  • conduct healthcare exchange training and seminars
