Tiyya is looking for dedicated, volunteer coaches for our seasonal refugee and immigrant youth soccer programs located in Fullerton, CA.
Coaches must be available for an entire Saturday session and over the age of 18 with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license. You must be able to provide rides for some of our refugee youth. We have several kids that want to attend but can't because they lack transportation. No experience necessary.
Volunteer coaches will undergo an orientation prior to the soccer season.

Description
After being uprooted, starting over can be very challenging and emotionally consuming for refugees and displaced families. Newly arrived parents struggle to navigate a foreign system in which basic daily tasks, such as public transportation, doctor's visits, grocery shopping, etc., become challenges. Furthermore, they cannot provide their children the support they need to succeed in school and feel part of our community .
Tiyya is a grassroots organization that provides programmatic support for the whole family. Led by volunteers, our vision is to create a society that is compassionate and understanding of refugee experiences through developing relationships and fostering the public’s engagement.
