Our nonprofit organization records incarcerated men and women reading stories to their children and grandchildren. We are currently delivering the audio recordings on a CD. Over the course of the past year, a volunteer with our organization created a web-based system that we can use so we can deliver the recordings electronically. This system also stores demographical information about the participants and their children, as well as a book inventory system.

Presently, we are looking for a volunteer web developer to help us add a few more features in to the system. The volunteer who developed the system originally is becoming too busy to help add these features, but he is available in case the new volunteer has questions about the codebase. There is another volunteer developer that is also currently working on the system.

The system was coded using CodeIgniter, and the codebase is on a private repo in GitHub. We are particularly looking for someone experienced with PHP and SQL.

Please contact us to learn more about our orgnization and the volunteer role.
