Homestead Hospice

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 14 people are interested

Homestead Hospice needs your help to spend time with our patients and caregivers facing life limiting illnesses. You can read to them, hold their hand, listen, talk, play cards, or simply be present. We also need volunteers to be present with our patients while the caregivers run errands or go out to lunch with friends in order to avoid caregiver burnout. If you have two hours a week and a caring heart we need you! We cover a 60 mile radius around Bogart, Georgia and have patients in the surrounding counties. Please contact kcornell@homesteadhospice.net or 770-725-2399.

Mission Statement

At Homestead Hospice, we strive to help our patients and their families by coordinating our care to involve the entire family through counseling, spiritual support, and access to our team of professionals.

Terminal illness affects the entire family structure. Adjustment, mental process, self awareness, acceptance and grief are major parts of the dying process. Our trained Social Workers and Therapists are available to work with the entire family in dealing with these issues. We employ fully-qualified staff to help with financial assistance, patient placement, care centers, funeral arrangements and we are always there just to talk.
