Meal delivery needed - desperately!! Seniors are being placed on waiting lists because of a lack of volunteers. Can you help? This is a difficult run in the Tobyhanna-Scotrun-Mt Pocono area, beginning at the Scotrun Diner. Clean driving and criminal clearances needed, auto insurance of $100,000/$300,000 Liability, must be able to lift 40 lbs and walk steps when necessary. Use of a reliable car. There is no Fuel reimbursement. Drive time is about 3.5 hours, 2x a month.

RSVP enriches the lives of those residents who want to remain active through community service to others. AMERICORPS SENIORS improves lives, strengthens communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering.

***THESE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ARE FOR MONROE COUNTY, PA RESIDENTS ONLY OVER AGE 55 ***
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) OF MONROE COUNTY, PA provides opportunities for Senior residents 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, day care centers, police departments, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
