Sorting Food
Corporate volunteers are just one of the many groups to help the Food Bank!

Help sort donated food and non-food items in our warehouse in Cornwall-on-Hudson. All goods sorted are distributed to local food pantries, shelters and soup kitchens. Individuals and groups are welcome. People can volunteer once or set up a regular schedule.

You can schedule yourself or request a group shift for a sorting shift by easily accessing our website:

www.foodbankofhudsonvalley.org/volunteer and following the directions found there.

Volunteering occurs in a warehouse setting so everyone should dress in layers, in clothes that can get dirty, and wear closed-toe sturdy shoes for safety. Volunteers should be comfortable standing for 2 hours and be able to lift between 5-40 pounds repeatedly.
