Volunteers to help us provide compassionate care to hospice patients and their families. Volunteers are asked to provide companionship, help with running errands, and simple meal prep to families dealing with a very difficult time of life.

Volunteers must have vaccination for COVID, if not vaccinated, you must provide a doctors note as to why you are not able to be vaccinated. Also, we will provide the vaccine if needing. Many facilities require a negative COVID test every 14 days, we will provide this free of charge at our office, and give results in writing.

Provide dignified family centered care and end of life comfort for our patients with an individual touch. We advocate on behalf of our patients to ensure their comfort and final wishes are being granted. We strive to connect with all of our patients and provide personalized physical, mental and spiritual care.

Description

Providing care and comfort to patients. Opportunities include direct patient visitation and administrative support. We provide feedback to schools for volunteer credit. We provide internships for those in nursing and social work. Travel will be limited, with the exception of internships, which may be only to visit different sites. Our goal is to provide companionship as well as socialization to those who express desire to have a volunteer visit. Our scope of activities may be limitless, we help with light housekeeping, running errands, helping with activities, quiet time to reflect and hear life experiences.
