We are looking for individuals who can help show kitties for adoption in space loaned to us by pet shops on Sunday afternoons. This is a great way to spend quality time with cats and kittens while helping homeless animals get a second chance, at a convenient location on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
We would like you to commit to at least one Sunday a month but more often is welcome as long as you sign up ahead of time.
Adult volunteers only; you must be over 18 years of age.
Our physical space is tiny so we need folks who are NOT claustrophobic and can be nimble with minimal room. This work sometimes requires quick reactions and physical dexterity with moderate strength. For space reasons, we can only accommodate a pair of volunteers - you and our volunteer mentor -- so you must be completely reliable in your volunteer day commitments.

Mission Statement
New York City Siamese Rescue is an organization of volunteers who find homes for orphaned and abandoned Siamese cats and related breeds, such as Snowshoes and Balinese. Cats of all ages are available for adoption, from kittens all the way up to geezer-meezers.
Description
- NYC Siamese Rescue, together with its sister organization Fostercats.org, has been rescuing and placing adoptable cats for over 6 years and has successfully placed more than 500 cats and kittens.
- NYC Siamese Rescue retains a lifetime commitment to the animals in its care, even after they have been placed in adoptive homes, with continued contact, counseling, and, when needed, further re-homing.
