Become a Health Insurance Information Counseling and Assistance Program Counselor. Rensselaer County is seeking individuals who are retired or those who would like to enhance your resume. Schedules are flexiable. Individuals are needed to provide presentations, attend health fairs, monthly data entry or provide one on one couseling. HIICAP educates the public about Medicare, Medicare Supplement Insurance, Prescription Drug coverage, and Medicare Managed Care. Medicare beneficiaries need a source of trusted, unbiased information and personalized assistance to help them make health insurance related decisions. The Rensselaer County Department for the Aging is to provide information, assistance and services to the elderly population within Rensselaer County. The goal is to remain independent for as long as they are capable.
Description
The Rensselaer County Department for the Aging provides assistance to Rensselaer County residents, 60 years of age and older. Programs include home delivered meals and congregate meals, nutrition education, transportation, legal, EISEP, caregiver support programs, ombudsman program, health insurance counseling and assistance, energy assistance and volunteer opportunities.
