Weekley

The Board of Advisors for the Weekley Family YMCA is essential in providing oversight, ensuring resources and supporting the organization’s strategic direction as set forth by the YMCA of Greater Houston Association Board of Directors and President, Chief Executive Officer. As a board member, you will articulate, safeguard, model and promote the values of the YMCA and ultimately contribute to strengthening the foundations of our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Board members lay the foundation for strong advisory level volunteers and philanthropic support of the organization.

Each board member participates in the Annual Giving Campaign by:
* Pledging a meaningful, personal gift for the coming year.
* Serving in a leadership role during campaign season and securing other individuals to serve as fundraisers.

4. VOLUNTEERING
Board members are encouraged to volunteer in at least one special event or committee throughout the year.

Description

The Y...for social responsibility

We know that when we work as one, we move people and communities forward. That's why we are committed to providing support to our neighbors and opportunities for kids, adults and families to give, join in or advocate in the name of stronger communities.

Social Services...

Build something good today

To bring about meaningful change, individuals need ongoing encouragement and tools. We're here day-in and day-out to provide the resources our communities need to address the most pressing social issues: child welfare, education, employment, housing and substance abuse. We work to make sure every child, family and community has what they need to achieve their best.
